Two of Life's Most Important Questions:
- If you were to die tonight, do you know for certain that you would go to heaven?
- If you were to die tonight and stand before God and he were to ask you, "Why should I let you into my heaven?" What would you say?
You CAN know the answers to these questions:
The Bible tells us:
God loves us: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life."John 3:16 and "But God demonstrated His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
We are all sinners: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 and "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10.
God has a remedy for sin: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 and "To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become the children of God." John 1:12.
Anyone may be saved now: "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone heres my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him and he with me." Revelation 3:20 and "Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
We can have this assurance: "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10 and "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9
