What Happened with us in 2001....(Click on any picture to enlarge)Thanksgiving has come and gone and it is almost December! How can the time go by so quickly?? We had a quiet Thanksgiving with just the four of us (Don, Bev & Bev's sister & husband, Cookie & Roy).....a change from the usual, but nice. Now to get ready for Christmas!
I can't believe it is almost October already! We have taken a couple of trips to see the fall colors and the aspen are gorgeous this year. We went up on Grand Mesa a couple of weeks ago and had a beautiful day for our trip. Another time we went to the Aspen area and visited Maroon Bells. I
have always wanted to be up there in the fall and it was fantastic! We have sold the truck, and took a couple of days off and delivered it to Moab. That is such a pretty little town! We took the river road back northeast from Moab to the interstate and it was a very pretty drive (most of the way, anyway). We are still enjoying tomatoes and zucchini. I have discovered several new zucchini recipes this year! Back to topAugust 12, 2001
July 31, 2001 We sold the trailer and are now trying to sell the truck. Our yard is almost done - just working on a rock and water garden in the back yard. It is so nice to see green grass instead of all the dirt! My tomatoes, green peppers and zucchini and growing great... I am supplying the neighborhood with zucchini!! Back to top
We have joined Living Hope Evangelical Free Church where Don is teaching adult Sunday School again and enjoying it and Bev just took on the church treasurer's job. We are active in the small group ministry and have enjoyed getting to know some of the church families. Don is also teaching part-time at Colorado Christian University which he enjoys and it brings in a little income; which is very helpful with the stock market doing what it is! February 27, 2001 We have decided to sell the trailer and truck as the truck is too rough riding for Bev's arthritis. Hopefully, we will then be able to get a motor home, which will be much smoother riding. Until then, we will have to just do our travel in the car. January 11, 2001 We don't plan to do any traveling for awhile. Once spring gets here, we have a yard to plant! The girls and their families came here for Christmas. Unfortunately, Bev came down with a virus Friday a week before Christmas so didn't get any baking done - at least all the shopping and wrapping was done! - and was down for over three weeks. So, the company came anyway and the girls brought cookies and did all the cooking while they were here! They cut their visit short and left the Wednesday after Christmas, but it was nice having them here...... Back to the top |
